Echo-workshop & Training
Donations as small as $5.00 can help a rural small farmer, agribusiness person, or small/medium-enterprise owner attend any of the workshops hosted by the Institute and/or its partners. Beneficiaries will learn the tools and techniques needed to grow (please see Brochures section for a complete listing of Tools and Templates the Institute has formulated to train this clientele). These trainings are open to the public and registration fees are waived because we know the importance that access can have on the lives of those we reach. Your donation will ensure that more individuals receive this access. |

Conference/Symposium Scholarships
There is a wealth of knowledge provided by leading experts all over the country on the how-to’s and best practices in the industry and we want our clientele to be exposed to this knowledge so they can position themselves for the future. This is one of the reasons why we host a Regional Symposium in South Florida inviting experts and farmers from all over the country (please go to the Symposium section for more information). In addition, there are several conferences hosted by federal agencies and non-governmental organizations to reach clientele serious about learning and expanding their operations. The Institute provides Scholarships yearly to approximately 50 farmers and rural businesspersons to attend symposiums and conferences so that they may be able to take the information back to their communities and use it for good. Your donation will help us reach more scholarship recipients. |

One-on-One training and Field Interventions
Over the course of the Institute’s sixteen (16) year history, the Institute has had a direct and indirect impact on over 3,000sm all farmers, rural businesses, women and youth all over the world (the Southern region of the U.S., the Caribbean and Latin America, Africa, and Asia). The only way to have authentic impact is to go to the places where the need is and conduct hands-on intervention, whether it be through crop production, installing irrigation, market planning, etc. The Institute prides itself on having members of the staff, field technicians, partners and University experts visit clientele to provide this hands-on approach. Your donation at this level will assist with sending out individuals who provide this important outreach. |

Microloans and Access to Capital
The Institute not only believes in training, but we also know that training coupled with access to capital is where the real change begins. Please visit the Brochures section to see some of the many ways we provide access to capital to small farmers, rural businesses, women and youth who just need an additional catalyst to continue farm productions or start that business in their rural area that creates jobs in their communities. |

Osbourne Scholarships
In honor of one of our founding directors, the late Dr. Owen Ballymore Karl Osbourne, students are supported as Osbourne Scholars, who receive scholarships starting from 11th Grade, and at any stages in Undergraduate and Graduate College levels. This scholarship is awarded to high school and college students with strong academic backgrounds, who demonstrate significant financial needs and a history of overcoming adversity. Osbourne Scholars are selected for their capacity to face intellectual challenges and their potential to contribute to the community at a University and society at large. The Osbourne Scholarship can be applied towards college tuition and fees, a laptop allowance, books, transportation, or personal expenses while enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Just a little support can change the trajectory of generations, especially those from resource-constraint homes and communities. Over the last decade, the Institute has seen these results and transformation in the lives of the Osbourne Scholars. By leveraging small amounts of resources to assist students in receiving a sterling education, we have witnessed worlds of opportunities open up, with positive impacts felt well beyond the individual scholars. The Institute has supported several domestic and international students trained in various disciplines through the Osbourne Scholarship. |

School Supplies and Family Support
In resource constrained communities’ books, pens, back packs, repurposed clothing and shoes, household wares and dry goods food supplies can have a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families. The Institute and its friends, over last two decades have assisted groups in selected socioeconomic disadvantaged neighborhoods. As little as possible you can support identified and verified children, youth and low-income households to change their stations in life. You can make a difference. Join us in changing the world, one village at a time. |
