Online Professional Training Initiative (OPTI)

The Institute focuses on practical education especially for non-traditional learners in industry, science, agriculture and technology. It uses an Applied Career and Community Education and Training Framework in delivering its training. In the years of providing technical assistance, education, training, outreach and resource mobilization, the Institute has developed and implemented programs affecting the livelihoods of thousands of individuals and multiple communities globally.

In the Applied Career and Community Education and Training Program for Business Ownership and Employment, we have trained and educated thousands  of non-traditional learner program participants of which over 50% are now successful operators of their own businesses in the service, agriculture, allied services, auxiliary and manufacturing sectors.  In addition, thousands have improved their employment skills in those sectors. During the process we have recognized that there are major gaps in building communities and empowering individuals, especially non-traditional learners. These gaps are seen in the areas of leadership, management and entrepreneurship.  These we consider are the leading engines for sustained economic development.  These gaps are most severe in developing communities and most significantly impact the poor, women, girls, youth, elderly and children.

The Institute has implemented and continues to develop programs that bridge these gaps and mitigate elements of these deficiencies.  We accomplish this by providing practical and hands-on knowledge-based training programs for individuals, communities and companies. The focus and  interest are on individuals that want to start and own their own businesses and firms that want to employ improved workers with enhance knowledge and skill capacity.  These programs are offered at the most competitive rates that are affordable in any region when compared to other programs. Please contact the institute (954)434-8220.
