Mack’s Farm
Barbara McKenzie uses Conventional Methods to grow several varieties of specialty food crops on her 3-acre Davie farm.   Mack’s Farm hosts their on-farm farmer’s market every Saturday from 10am-3pm.  Call ahead to place an order for their Friday Fish Fry (Fried Fish, Rundown, and other island dishes).

Her crops include: Callaloo, Spinach, Cabbage, Kale, Collard Greens, Pumpkin, Sugarcane, Green Banana, and Plantain.

Her other farm products include: Honey and Goat.

Beverley’s Fresh Produce
Beverley Henry grows several varieties of specialty food crops on her 2-acre Davie farm without the use of chemicals.  This producer also likes to grow small batches of new items and have a mix of marinades and sauces available, so make sure to ask what’s new of her farm.

Her crops include: Callaloo, Lalu, Cabbage, Bok Choy, Habanero Pepper, Green Pepper, Kale, Collard Greens, Green Onion, Pineapple, Moringa, Turmeric, Banana, and Sugarcane.

Pearl’s Farmer’s Market
Pearl Thomas uses Conventional Methods to grow several varieties of specialty food crops on her 1-acre farm in Davie, Florida. 

Her crops include: Callaloo, Lalu, Banana, Sugarcane, Cabbage, and Bok Choy.

Evangelia Ramirez
Evangelia Ramirez uses Conventional Methods to grow several varieties of specialty food crops on her Davie farm.  Mrs. Ramirez speaks Spanish.  Esta granjera habla español.

Her crops include: Lalu, Banana, Plantain, and Sugarcane.

Kountry Kitchen
Kountry Kitchen offers a variety of Spice blends, Sauces, and Marinades for Chicken, Meat, Fish, and Vegetable dishes.  Producer, Scotty, uses his Fort Pierce farm to grow a variety of Scotch Bonnet, Habanero, Ghost, and other hot peppers as the base for the product line.  These products add the perfect balance of flavors to any dish.

Lion’s School Garden and Farmer’s Market
This is a school garden created through the support of NSI with initial funding provided by Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS).  The garden serves to teach students project –based learning through plant development research, hands-on activities, creating healthy meals, as well as supporting social and emotional growth.  The farmer’s market teaches students the different elements in business and provides locally grown food to families living in “food desserts”.  Any funds generated by the farmer’s market will be reinvested into the school garden to replenish this on-site learning resource.

Their current crops include: Strawberries, Kale, Zucchini, Tomatoes, and Collard Greens

Ecotone Farm
Tamara and Jerry Renick own Ecotone Farm, a local, family operated farm that grows using sustainable practices with responsible integrity to protect our environment for future generations.  They produce fresh gourmet lettuce, hydroponically grown in Fellsmere, Florida.  Checkout their website for their latest events: http://ecotonefarm.net/

Big C’s Produce Frutas y Vegetales
Big C’s Produce is owned and operated by Yolanda and Cesar Gomez.  They sell a variety of hard to find Hispanic produce, hot meals, and refreshing fruit juices and mixed fruit cups.  Located on Broadway Street in Fellsmere, Florida, this store always has customers coming through the door as it is a great place to stop for lunch.
